Igor Pashkov, whose part of the air defense was stationed in the occupied Crimea...

The Russian air defense officer was planted for a two -year helicopter of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation: previously not reported

Igor Pashkov, whose part of the air defense was stationed in the occupied Crimea was accused of negligence. The Russian officer was planted for the Russian helicopter, knocked down instead of drone over Crimea. Russia reports the first sentence approved by the Air Defense Officer for the negligence found during the reflection of the alleged attack of the Armed Forces on the Crimea. About it reports "Kommersant". Instead of a hostile drone, a Russian Mi-8 military helicopter was shot down.

The culprit of the NP was sentenced to a term in a colony-settlement, to which he will leave on his own. At the same time, the court denied the Ministry of Defense to recover almost 200 million rubles - the cost of a helicopter.

Igor Pashkov, who served as a senior assistant to the operational regular command point of one of the parts of the air defense stationed in the annexed Crimea, posed to the garrison military court of Sevastopol on charges of negligence, which led to the negligence to the death of three persons (Part 3 of Article 293).

"He was threatened by seven years in prison, but the court of first instance was limited to three years of the colony-settlement and deprivation of the right to occupy positions related to the exercise of organizational and administrative functions in the civil service and in local self-government bodies for one year," report Roszmi. Friendly Fire happened at 6.

30 am on October 18, 2023, when Captain Pashkov carried a fighting duty, he received a report on the detection of an air target that flies low. The speaker, the head of combat calculation, as it should be, called him his call sign. But the officer who accepted the message was mistaken in the number of the call sign, having reported to his management that the unrecognized goal is in another place (duty is carried out in sectors) and it is necessary to make a decision to destroy it.

The head of the calculation was a little later specified that the target was a helicopter that was flying with the lights on, but it was too late. It is reported that Igor Pashkov did not believe additional information, the check allegedly showed that there were no "his planes" at the place of detection of the goal. As a result, two minutes after the first message, released from the Thor-M2DT anti-aircraft missile system, the target was destroyed.

In a few minutes it turned out that the air defense worked on its own-the Mi-8MTV-5-1 fell into the Black Sea, three members of his crew in the titles of captains were killed. On the same day, military investigative bodies of SKR initiated a criminal case on the grounds of the crime under Part 5 of Art. 340 of the Criminal Code (violation of the rules of combat duty in combat, which caused grave consequences).

The case was investigated against unspecified persons until in May 2024, Igor Pashkov did not draw a turnout with a duty, acknowledging that he could make a fatal mistake. The investigation was accused of negligence. It is reported that in the garrison court the officer pleaded in full, but at the same time, using Art. 51 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, with the testimony refrained.

The court recovered from Pashkov 5 million rubles in favor of the Russian Defense Ministry, which estimated the whipped helicopter at 204 million rubles, declaring an appropriate claim for compensation for property damage. The widows of pilots, which were expected to receive from military compensation for non -pecuniary damage at 3 million rubles each, the court appointed 1 million rubles.

At the same time, in the Southern District Military Court (Rostov-on-Don), the sentence was challenged by all parties, including the Ministry of Defense. But the court left the verdict valid and took into account all the "softening circumstances", such as "positive characteristics" and "repentance in the committed". Igor Pashkov also has a son who has a disability.
