NAPC has brought to the List of International War Sponsors Belgian gas company Fluxys

According to the agency, the company promotes exports of Russian LNG, which provides financing of the invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine. The National Anti -Corruption Agency (NAPC) has listed an independent Belgian gas operator Fluxys to the List of International Sponsors of Conflict. This was reported by the NAPC press service.

The NAPC official statement explained that Fluxys provides opportunities for storing and overloading Russian liquefied natural gas "Yamal LNG" on its terminal in Zebrygg. It should be noted that the main part of Yamal LNG is owned by the Russian Novatek gas company, which is directly related to funding for military aggression and war crimes in Ukraine.

"A detailed analysis conducted by the International Institute of Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) in 2022 showed that Fluxys and its shareholders made a profit, facilitating the export of Russian PPG to the Markets of Asia, South America and the Middle East, especially in the winter of 2021-2022 that exacerbated the European energy crisis and increased the profits for the Novatek. Novatek, belongs to Russian oligarchs Leonid Micelson and Gennady Timchenko.

It is the main supplier With the help of his regime, the shares of international companies in Russian oil and gas projects were captured, " - said in the NAPC. It should be noted that the main part of Yamal LNG is owned by the Russian Novatek gas company, which is directly related to the financing of military aggression and war crimes in Ukraine. It is noted that the main shareholders of Fluxys are Belgian municipalities (77. 41%) and the Federal Government of Belgium (3. 44%).

Both parties claim that international humanitarian law is highly respected, which prohibits deliberate attacks on civilians or critical civilian infrastructure. These obligations are contrary to the actual continuation of cooperation with the Russian company "Novatek", the NAPC noted. Yes, Fluxys continued to cooperate with Yamal LNG and Novatek during 2022 and 2023.

According to international experts, Russia expects to receive up to 800 million euros of tax revenues from exports, which will be possible due to the PPG transshipment in Zebrugge in 2023. Only 7% of this gas is directed to the EU markets. We will remind, on November 21 investigators stated that Russia was able to bypass sanctions and receive important details for Mi-8 helicopters from the Czech Republic. They get to the Russian Federation thanks to companies from India and Kazakhstan.
