GUR fighters eliminated the hostile radar "Casta-2E2" on the border with Russia: transferred data to air defense

The station monitored the drones within a radius of 150 km, calculated their trajectories and coordinates. It could interfere with Ukrainian drone on Russian objects. On February 13, 2024, the fighters of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense from the Gus-9 special purpose group struck the radar station of the Russians "Casta-2E2" near the untouched section of the Russian-Ukrainian border. This was reported by the GUR Cverse Service in its Telegram channel.

The radar complex of the Russians monitored the air of Kharkiv and Sumy regions of Ukraine. He also followed the air of the Belgorod, Kursk and Voronezh region of the Russian Federation. As a result of the special reunion, the radar station is disrupted, there are losses among the staff. Moving knitted Casta-2E2 radar operates in the decimeter range and has a circular inspection. It controls the airspace, recognizes air targets and determines the coordinates.

The station is able to find objects at very low height, determine their route. It sends the coordinates and parameters of its motion to the enemy air defense control system. Detection occurs at a distance of up to 150 km. GUR is known to conduct operations in Russia, including using drones. Such a radar system can prevent UAVs from performing tasks, so the destruction of such stations can improve the situation in the air for them.

Focus sources report that the oil depot attack in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation was a special operation of GUR. The oil deck was affected by UAV, after which a tank per 100 tonnes of fuel was probably erupted there. Earlier, the representative of the GUR Andriy Yusov said that a series of attacks on Russian refineries would continue, although he did not confirm the intelligence involvement in these actions. "It's justice and it will continue. So it should be," the message says.
