Share: On the night of October 17, drones attacked the temporarily occupied Crimea: explosions rang out in the village of Gvardiysky, as well as in Simferopol. Smoke from the fire after the attack can be seen for many kilometers. The drones were probably attacking a local oil depot and an ammunition depot (AM) of the Russians. Also, a column of smoke can be seen above one of the local airports. The monitoring channel "Crimean Wind" reported the attack.

"The village of Gvardiyske is being attacked by drones, an oil depot is on fire, subscribers report. The shooting and explosions began around 02:40 a. m. Also, according to preliminary information, an ammunition depot was hit," the message says. Footage from the site of damage to Russian facilities in Crimea was also made public. The videos show how the fire started. Subsequently, the monitoring channel released a satellite image of the attacked oil depot in Gvardiyskyi.

According to analysts, the object belongs to the network of ATAN gas stations, which is the largest network of leading gas stations in the occupied Crimea. "It seems that now there will be even less gasoline and diesel fuel in Crimea," the analysts noted. Around 06:20 a. m. , explosions rang out again in Crimea: this time they were heard in Simferopol and Simferopol district, the Telegram channel clarified.

A few minutes later, the explosions rang out again: in total, the locals heard at least four loud explosions. "Zagrav can be seen for many kilometers, subscribers report," analysts noted. Later, the monitoring channel specified that two columns of smoke could be seen from Simferopol. One of them is from the attacked oil depot burning in Gvardiysky, and the other is probably from one of the local airfields.

"One is from the burning oil depot in Gvardiyskyi, the second is from the Simferopol airport or the airfield in Gvardiyskyi (they are almost on the same line)," the analysts noted. However, at the time of publication, analysts were unable to pinpoint the location likely to have been hit by the drones. Also, no official data was received regarding the attack or damage to objects in Crimea.
