The Prosecutor General's Office confirmed the fact of a missile strike on Dniproges, resulting in victims. The focus publishes up -to -date information on an hostile attack on a strategic object. The director of Ukrhydroenergo Igor Sirota in a comment to Radio Svoboda stated that there were two trains on the territory of Dniproges. According to him, it is unknown how a rocket attack of the Russian Federation will eventually affect the work of the Dnieper hydroelectric power station.
At the same time, the losses due to shelling are significant, so the situation is critical. The orphan emphasized that the Dnieper hydroelectric power station consists of two stations-HPP-1 and HPP-2. As for hydroelectric power plants - 2, the situation is critical there, it remains unknown how it will be able to work further, as well as what its capacity will be. The army of the Russian Federation attacked the station with two missiles, as a result, there are direct hit.
The head of Ukrhydroenergo added that the rocket hit one resistance, which is why the crane beams were broken. Now the work of the hydroelectric power plant-1 is also stopped. Ukrhydroenergo staff is taking appropriate measures to raise the shutter and work with water, as they will not be able to work this water through the station. The orphan believes that it will be necessary to completely restore the machine hall and electrical equipment.
"We will calculate the consequences during the day, then it will become clear what has happened. And whether the hydroelectric power station will work at all," Igor Sirota explained. Meanwhile, the Attorney General's office reported the beginning of the investigation into the massive shelling of Zaporizhzhia and Dniprovskaya hydroelectric power station.
In particular, the Zaporizhzhya Regional Prosecutor's Office began an investigation into criminal proceedings on violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
