According to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, as of November 9, Ukraine has already returned about 2,600 its citizens from Russian captivity. Among the liberated are dominated by the military. The commission on the establishment of the fact of deprivation of personal freedom as a result of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine established the fact of captivity of 4337 persons, of which 3574 were military and 763 - civilians.

This was discussed at a meeting of the mentioned commission under the chairmanship of the Viceremian-Minister Irina Vereshchuk.

"According to the results of the meetings of the commission, the relevant data are entered in the Unified Register of Persons, whom the fact of deprivation of personal freedom as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine is established. The administrator of this register is determined by the National Information Bureau, which belongs to the sphere of management of the Ministry of reintegration," - said in the statement of the Ministry.

In addition, the department noted that families of prisoners receive from the state one -time and annual state cash assistance. "Since the beginning of this year, UAH 422 million has already been paid to captivity, as well as the families of prisoners of war, civil hostages and political prisoners," - said in the message.
