"Terrible thing": as UAV with machine vision will change the course of war with Russia

Drones with a self -capture system goal are quite costly technology, but the occupiers are ready to invest in it, since UAVs with machine vision are several times more accurate. Drones with machine vision, which have already begun to use Russian invaders, are able to radically change the situation on the front and at times increase the number of effective departures.

The advantages and disadvantages of this technology in drones were told by a specialist in communication and radio technologies Sergey "Flash" Beskrestnov in an interview with focus. According to the expert, the advantage of using the elements of machine vision is that the pilot is enough to lift the UAV and bring to a certain zone, and then specify the target, figuratively speaking, the square on the tablet, and then the drone will fly to it.

This, in turn, means that the protection of reb domes will be ineffective. Another advantage of this technology is that the drone will be able to capture the fast moving target and strike it with more likely. In addition, with the development of homing systems with machine vision, experienced UAV pilots will no longer need. "They (drone operators, ed. , fly to the target and point it, "said Sergei Flash.

In addition, machine vision will allow FPV-Drome to fly long distances, because the loss of communication, which is always happening near the ground, is now not terrible. Even if the video card from the drone disappears - it will still fly. In turn, the Russians, seeing and understanding the benefits of drones with machine vision, have already begun to be used in the war zone in Ukraine.

Sergiy Beskrestnov told that the military saw in their own eyes the use of such systems by Russians in one of the southern directions and recorded three facts of flight of such drones. Others have not yet been observed, and it is unclear whether it is a large series or the first experiments. One way or another, such a system was recognized on the front.

Determining the fact that the enemy used UAVs with a self -resolution was quite simple: experts in the field of radio technologies intercepted images from Russian drones. "We clearly saw the drone flying on the target, how the operator pointed to him this purpose, how the drone captured it and kept it. That is, it is a very scary thing, it will radically increase the number of effective departments and change the situation on the fronts.

Of course, technology will increase the cost of drone I think about twice. As we can see, the Russians go to such costs, they do not scare them, " - explained Sergei Flash Beskrestnov. The expert also added that in Ukraine there are also teams that are practically at the final stage of introduction and mass production of drones with machine vision. Moreover, for this purpose, the Ministry of Defense conducts a hackathon, which will take place in a few weeks.

Teams that work on machine -vision technologies are being invited there to present their products and show at what stage they are now. Machine vision technology was already on the DJI civilian drones called Active Track, but it is unlikely to be integrated into the cheap FPV-Dron. Machine vision also exists on more complex drones.
