The Russian Security Service has produced caliber missiles without stops: since ...

Ships were brought to the Caspian Sea. When the Russian Federation recovers the "caliber" in Ukraine

The Russian Security Service has produced caliber missiles without stops: since September 2023, the occupiers could accumulate more than 240 missiles. Successful operations of Ukraine's defense forces forced the Russian Federation to withdraw some of the rocket launchers from the Black Sea. In spite of this, the military analysts surveyed by focus say that the next massive attack will be added from the sea.

The Russian military has not used the winged maritime base rockets (KRMB) "Caliber" for a long time. During the last waves of massive blows in Ukraine, aviation and winged missiles X-101/X-555/X-55, "daggers" and different ballistic goals were used. Maritime base missiles can fly at low altitudes, so it is difficult for air defense to catch them. Dangerous weapons of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will be used throughout the war, warned by military analysts interviewed by focus.

The pause in the use of "calibers" indicates their accumulation and further production in Russia. According to the observations of military observer Alexander Kovalenko, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have not massively used "calibra" since September 25 last year. Due to this, by January 25, 2024, they have accumulated more than 240 missiles alone at the expense of production capacity alone.

A great role in the pause of strikes from the sea played successful attacks of Ukraine's defense forces on ships and bases of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation. The invaders were forced to cross a large part of the ships from Sevastopol to Novorossiysk in Krasnodar region. In a new place, they did not have time to equip all the infrastructure for the service and storage of "calibers".

The shells are actively removed from the 3413 rocket and technical base in the Sukharian beam in the Nakhimov district of Sevastopol, in the 1061st arsenal of complex storage of rockets and ammunition in the village of Natukhayevsky Krasnodar region, Kovalenko adds. Intensive fighting in Ukraine from 2022 to the first half of 2023 led to the depreciation of starting installations on the carriers of "calibers", the expert emphasizes.

Returning to the practice of kaiber rockets is inevitable in view of the reduction of the winged rockets X-101/555 and the gradual arrangement of infrastructure in Novorossiysk. In addition, rocket launchers remain in the Black Sea. On January 29, the Naval Forces of Ukraine recorded five Russian ships on January 29, including two caliber carriers with a reserve of up to eight missiles.

It should be noted that the ships can be fired and all the shells for different land purposes can be fired at once. In order to protect rocket launchers from the work of Ukrainian rockets, the command of the Russian Federation can consider the idea of starting "calibers" from the Caspian Sea. In this case, the submarines will be complemented by bombers. If you run from the waters of the Northern Caspian, the missiles will fly to Ukraine through the Caucasus and the Republic of Adigey.

The distance from Astrakhan to the Ukrainian city of the Dnieper in a straight line is just over 1 thousand kilometers. The distance of the rocket "caliber" on land is 2600 kilometers. "In the Caspian there are up to five rocket carriers, the dangers of launches exist. The Russian army, as a rule, leaves up to 30% of the number of missiles used in a massive shelling of Ukraine. The invaders may have spent more "calibers" and got into a strategic stock.

Now it is necessary to restore volumes for new attacks and accumulation, it thinks Zablotsky. KRMB launchers from the Caspian are very predictable for the Ukrainian air defense. The rocket trajectory is visible and it will not be difficult. The missiles are expensive and better use them from close distance, such as the Black Sea, emphasizes the Navy of the National Institute for Strategic Studies Maxim Palamarchuk.

The attacks of Ukraine's defense forces on ports in the Black Sea led to problems with the loading and transportation of missiles from Sevastopol. However, it is not necessary to expect that in the next wave of rocket strikes will be exclusively "calibers", says Maxim Palamarchuk. "The combined attack also covers rocket launchers from aircraft. The maritime component is involved immediately as the Russian army resolves the issue of loading and transporting rockets," he said.

Medical attack with "calibers", according to military experts, may be in mid -February or closer to early spring. The caliber rocket is designed to defeat terrestrial objects. In fact, this is an updated version of the Soviet 3M10 rocket, the tracing paper of the American winged Tomahawk rocket. "Calibers" four types of modification: "Caliber-NK", "Caliber-Pl", "Caliber-AE" and "Caliber-M" with general combat characteristics. "Calibers" became known during the Russian military campaign in Syria.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have been released for the purpose of almost 100 missiles in the country. The maximum range of the caliber rocket is 2600 kilometers, and the speed of the rocket when the target comes to 500 km/h. The deviation from the target is less than 10 meters from the start of the start of more than 1500 km. The KMBR does not fly on a straight line drawn on the map, but adjusts the flight based on the features of the terrain.

The warheads are equipped with different types: conventional, nuclear and others depending on the tasks. We will remind, the military observer David Sharp previously noted that the Armed Forces had created dangerous conditions for the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation near Crimea. Nevertheless, Russia can still launch Caliber missiles from Novorossiysk. Focus wrote earlier that two caliber missiles have recently fallen in the Krasnodar region.
