Share: The number of victims in Kyiv exceeded 20 people, two more people died as a result of the night attack. The mass media from the site of liquidation of the consequences in Troeshchyna reported that after being warned by the State Emergency Service, residents of one of the damaged buildings ran for shelter, but did not have time to get there before the explosions. All night on October 22, the Russian Armed Forces attacked Kyiv with Shaheds and ballistic missiles.

Fires and destruction are known in four districts, and the left bank of the capital was the most affected, in particular, two high-rise buildings burned in the Darnytsia district. TSN correspondent Olena Gushchyk visited the site of one of the victims. "Troyeshchyna, a residential massif on the left bank of the capital. Behind me is a house that was cut down by an explosive wave. The Russian "Shakhed" flew into the entrance here," she said.

According to the journalist, no one was injured there, but 40-50 cars were destroyed in the yard. "This side, all these windows, all the balconies, everything was crushed. The eaves were blown off, it was all blown away. The main thing is that they are alive and well," shared a local resident. Gushchyk reported that there was a direct hit by the UAV between the fifth and sixth floors.

At the time when the report was being shot, the employees of the State Emergency Service tried to get into the closed apartments to check if there were any people left there. They were also approached by people who, on the contrary, wanted to return home to take their pets. "It's amazing that the rescuers haven't finished their work yet, and people are already in the windows trying to patch up their homes and hear the sound of tape, the sound of cleaning glass.

Although 40 minutes to an hour have passed since the Russian attack," the correspondent noted. However, at some point, emergency services workers shouted for people to go down to the shelter as soon as possible. Residents ran away from the house while the work of the air defense system was heard. "We didn't even have time to run to the shelter when an explosion rang out. People are scared, rescuers are working. And now right above us we can still see a cloud from the work of air defense.

Even now explosions are heard. After the explosions, the rescuers continue their work during the period of silence," said Gushchyk. The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, informed that 21 victims are already known, five of them are children. Two Kyivans died as a result of the night attack. It will be recalled that the mayor of the city, Vitalii Klitschko, announced the hospitalization of 9 victims, including a 2-year-old child.
