France and Ukraine discussed the joint production of weapons: negotiation details

Currently, the Minister of Armed Forces of France Sebastien Lecorton is visiting Kyiv, with which the issues of joint production of weapons samples have been raised. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with the Minister of Armed Forces of France Sebastien Lecorn in Kiev. The parties discussed cooperation. Zelensky also praised the personal role of President Emmanuel Macron in support of Ukraine in the international arena. During the meeting, the topic of starting the joint production of certain types of weapons was raised. "Further steps were discussed in detail during the meeting to strengthen Ukraine's defense capability with the support of France, in particular the possibility of starting the joint production of certain types of weapons," the publication said.

In addition, Zelensky thanked for the already provided weapons: Caesar SAU, SAMP/T SAUs and Scalp EG winged missiles. Particular attention was paid to increased air defense, especially in winter. Sebastien Lecorton received the Order of Merit II for a significant personal contribution to strengthening interstate cooperation, as well as with the support of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
