"A few days before the terrorist attack": Iran warned the Russian Federation about a possible attack of IDIL - media

According to the high -ranking employee of the Iranian Security Service, Tehran "fulfilled his obligation to warn Moscow" on the preparation of the terrorist attack, transmitting information received from arrested terrorists from the Afghan department of "Islamic State". On the eve of the terrorist act in the Moscow Concert Hall "City Hall" Iran warned the Russian Federation about the possible major terrorist operation of "Islamic State" (IDIL).

Reuters writes about it with reference to three sources familiar with the situation. It is reported that in January, Iranian intelligence announced the detention of 35 people involved in the explosions that occurred on January 3 in the southeastern city of Kerman, which killed almost 100 people. In particular, the arrest of the commander of the Islamic State (ISIL-K), based in Afghanistan, was arrested.

"A few days before the terrorist attack in Russia, Tehran shared with Moscow information about a possible large terrorist attack within Russia, obtained during interrogations arrested in connection with deadly explosions in Iran," - told one of the sources to reporters. Another source reported to the publication that the information that Tehran provided to Moscow had no specific details about the attack and the exact purpose of the terrorists.

"They (members of IDIL-K) were instructed to prepare for a large-scale operation in Russia . . . One of the terrorists (arrested in Iran) reported that some members of the group had already left for Russia," the source said. According to the third source that holds a high position in the Security Service, it has stated that Tehran "fulfilled his obligation to warn Moscow" on the basis of information received from arrested terrorists, since Iran "has been a victim of terrorist attacks for many years".

Recall that US officials have stated that responsibility for the terrorist act in the City Hall City Concert Hall in the Moscow region of the Russian Federation is the Branch of the Islamic State, IDIL-K, based in Afghanistan. At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation was accused of involvement in the shooting of City City Holi, stating that the "bloody terrorist act" was not the first time, and "traces of all these crimes are being conducted to Ukraine.
