The president told Congressmen that before the meeting with them he had a telephone conversation with the President of the United States Joseph Biden. The heads of state, in particular, discussed the possibility of accelerating the provision of a military assistance package to Ukraine. «Quantity number one - air defense. We absolutely need air defense. After making a decision, we really need specific assistance with this.

We also need very specific weapons in order to help the military and protect civilians. We are talking about the need, of course, weapons that beat on a larger radius. The artillery shells are also very important in importance, ”Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

During the meeting, they discussed in detail macro -financial, military assistance, including the need for artillery shells, the missiles of the long -range radius, the means of RB and UAV, combat aviation, as well as support in the development of the Ukrainian defense industry.
