The total area of ​​the oil spot reached about 50 square kilometers, while the weight is about 10 tons, experts found out. In just a few days, the giant oil spot went from Novorossiysk along the Anapa coast, and from there she reached the Kerch Strait area. Oil spots of such volumes in the Black Sea have not been fixed for a long time, experts say.

Instead, the Russian authorities rushed on August 30, the next day after the accident, to assure the residents and vacationers that everything was "under control" and that the elimination of the consequences of spilling of petroleum products into the sea was allegedly eliminated quickly, although then they were clarified that they were allegedly carrying out environmental measurements and observations. The words of officials were conveyed by Roszmi.

One of the representatives of the tourism business in Crimea told OBOZ. UA that the Russians, fearing to suffer from environmental disasters, flee from the peninsula. "Those who have come by cars are already running out of here, because a couple of days will swim in oil," he confessed. But not all Russians come to Crimea on their own cars. Some will have to wait until the end of the rest, as much is tied to rail tickets, and some - to preferential vouchers at local sanatoriums.
