Peace negotiations: the Russian Federation refused to stop shelling of schools and hospitals in Ukraine - Zhovkva

To spread: negotiations in Riyadh included discussions of ceasefire on civilian infrastructure. Russia has not accepted the idea and intensified the firing of peaceful Ukrainian cities, said Igor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine. The Russian side refused to discuss ceasefire on civilian infrastructure facilities in Riyadh negotiations. This was stated in an interview with Ukrinform Agency by the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Igor Zhovkva.

The prohibition on strikes on civil infrastructure was a separate negotiation point. Russia, according to the US side, refused to talk about it, he said. According to Zhovkva, Ukraine insisted that all objects of civil infrastructure - schools, hospitals, kindergartens, residential buildings did not undergo shelling. However, recently the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is even more intensively firing Ukrainian cities and social facilities.

"You have seen all the cases that have occurred these days after the silence regime in the air, which is allegedly adhered to by Russia. The strikes on Kryvyi Rih and Sumy prove that the Russians do not plan to stop shelling, at least on peaceful people," Zhovkva said. Recall that in the United States recently revealed the details of the ceasefire agreement in the Black Sea. Russia has put forward a number of conditions for sanctions imposed by the European Union.
