"Decided about combat tanks." Sholtz explained why he is against the transfer of fighters for the Armed Forces

"It is important that anyone who declared their intention to put combat tanks has done it," the German Chancellor said. German Chancellor Olaf Scholt has criticized the constant requirements for the transfer of new types of weapons for Ukraine to fight the Russian Federation. He denied the possibility of giving Kiev fighters. This was stated in an interview with Tagesspiegel. "The issue of fighters does not even arise.

I can only advise not to join a constant competition when it comes to weapons," he said. The German politician noted that one decision is just making, new debates are beginning in Germany. According to him, it does not look very serious and undermines citizens' trust in government decisions. "Such debates should not be made for reasons for domestic political profile. It is important for me now that everyone who declares to put combat tanks in their intention to put Ukraine," he said.

Olaf Scholz also denied information that other countries were pressed against Germany to provide tanks for Ukraine and what would happen to fighters. "We always come from what Ukraine needs, on the one hand, and that our most important allies are supplied - first of all, the United States, as well as the United Kingdom, France and others. That is why we have made a decision on combat tanks now," Chancellor added. He also stated that there will be no NATO state in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
