According to Grev, Helmanis, who heads the Ogra's Regional Council from the National Alliance, was on a business trip, during which he, together with like -minded people, delivered vehicles and other assistance to the needs of the Ukrainian army. "Similar trips are in his regular schedule since 2022. Since the beginning of a full -scale war, it has been transferring dozens of cars for several months. This time, about 20 cars have been brought," Griv said.

It is now known that during one of these missions, the cargo came under fire. "We found out that last night there was a shooting that caused the mayor to be injured," the city council spokesman said.
