On September 5, the press service of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported. "Our defenders continue to take offensive actions to the south of Bakhmut, are fixed on the reached boundaries. The head of the press service of the Eastern Grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ilya Yevlash noted that heavy and dynamic battles continue in the Bakhmut direction, during which Ukrainian fighters cause quite significant losses to the enemy. In total, 12 combat clashes took place.
According to him, the fighters of the Defense Forces were destroyed: in addition, it was destroyed: one point of management of UAV, two warehouses with ammunition, one radar "Ros", three UAVs of the type "Zala", one "Orlan-10" and one car. For its part, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation made 600 shelling of different types of artillery, and Russian aviation twice struck the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
