Share: On October 24, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation attacked Odesa Region with guided air bombs for the first time. Monitoring channels suggest that the Russian army could fire modified UMPB-5 ammunition. Oleg Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, announced the first attack by the KAB on Odesa Oblast. According to him, the Russians attacked civilian infrastructure in the region. "This is a new serious threat to Odesa.

Such strikes pose a colossal danger to people and can cause significant destruction," warned the head of the OVA. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported about guided aerial bombs in the waters of the Black Sea around 13:24. One munition was aimed at Pivdenna and Ochakiv, and another one was aimed at Pivdenna and Chornomorske.

The administrator of the monitoring Telegram channel "Nikolaevsky Vanek" wrote that the Russians probably launched the UMPB-5 with an increased flight range in the Odesa region, but at the time of publication of the news there was no official confirmation of this. On October 20, the Russians attacked the Poltava region with a KAB for the first time since the beginning of the invasion.
