Recruitment to the Armed Forces accepts more people than the shopping center: the Council told about mobilization

The recruitment centers come five times more Ukrainians than the military enlistment offices, the People's Deputy Alexander Zaitnevich explained. Parliamentarians plan to reform the mobilization system, but have not yet determined how. Representatives of the Territorial Center for Acquisition (TCC) in one of the regions of Ukraine fear competition with a recruiting center that recruits people to one of the Armed Forces.

Meanwhile, the recruitment managed to mobilize up to 15% of the servicemen who were in the army in May 2024. The head of the National Security Committee Alexander Zaitnevich told about the details of recruitment and work of the Tax Code in an interview with BBC. Zotnevich confirmed that in Ukraine it is necessary to carry out a reform that would affect not only military enlistment offices, but the whole system.

Prior to the war, it was a state body that accumulated information about the conscripts. Then they announced the mobilization, and the military committees began to "look for people on the streets. " It was then that a message about "Exceeding the Office" appeared when "under the cameras they spray a person in a bead. " When recruitment centers were worked, it turned out that they became competitors with staffing, the politician said. "[Military committee - ed.

] Found that five times more people came to the recruitment office than it came to the shopping center. And they just asked: let's move them somewhere to another corner of the city," he said. The Chairman of the National Security Committee has evaluated several options for further reforming the territers. First, they will not be closed during martial law, because it is "inappropriate".

Secondly, there is an option to make them civilian structures or change subordination (transfer from land troops to the Defense Ministry). In his opinion, reforms work when people see something new. "For our people, you know how they have been military enlistment offices and many people of the shopping center and perceives. And the recruiting center is something new," Zaitnevich said.

It should be noted that in the fall of 2023 the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine told about the beginning of reforming the mobilization system. To do this, they took two steps. The first - allowed the work of recruiting centers, which, at the requests of the commanders of the units, recruit people to the ranks of defense forces. The second is cooperation with employment portals, through which citizens learn about vacancies for the military.

Meanwhile, Ukraine has adopted amendments to the law on military registration and a number of changes to the mobilization process. In accordance with the requirements of regulations, the conscripts must update military accounting data. To do this, they need to either come to the CCC or use the CNAP services, or install the Reserve+Ministry of Defense.
