The strongest army of the world captures opponents with the help of old antennas: helped the experience of the Armed Forces

American soldiers created a false command point for deception of the "enemy" and managed the operation through the Starlink terminals. The first armored brigade's combat group of the US Army has installed an old satellite antenna to get the opposing forces into a trap. The same experience was applied to the Armed Forces, writes Defense One. In July, the US military was able to test a new tactics during the exercises in Fort Irwin (California), previously used by the defenders of Ukraine.

According to Colonel and Brigade Commander Jim Armstrong, the team commander, a platoon of radio electronic wrestling provided a commercially accessible equipment to determine the location of hostile positions, and they trained with the reconnaissance unit of the unit. When the soldiers who play the role of the enemy saw the cell phone signal, there was no doubt that he belonged to someone from the 3rd Infantry Division.

Therefore, Armstrong brought fake devices that he hoped to deceive any observers. His soldiers were able to organize a false command point with tents and a real satellite trailer. The unit was able to provide the object with their own equipment because the soldiers managed their real command point through the new satellite terminals of Starlink. Then the soldiers turned on the communication network of the fake command point to pass the signals that it was a real command post.

The unit also placed cell phones and WiFi devices on a fake point. The deception worked: soldiers who play enemies, drowned a fake commanding point, and hit the fake point by simulating fire from closed positions, giving their own position, Armstrong said. The unit involved 90 drones in exercises: 70 of them - Black Hornets, which are used by infantry compartments, the remaining 20 - large quadcopters.

The military found that drones were useful for adjusting the goals of artillery and intelligence, said Armstrong, as well as to assist in controlling the amount of smoke needed to hide large armored vehicles that are preparing for the assault of the enemy's positions. The brigade also worked out the procedures for combating the "enemy" drones. Earlier, we wrote that in China we came up with a way to use the Starlink Satellite Internet against the United States.
