In New York, Elena Zelenska took part in an event dedicated to education in Ukraine during the war

In the fields of the UN General Assembly in New York, the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska took part in a special educational event dedicated to school education: "Learn to stay strong: education as the basis of Ukraine's stability. " The president's wife spoke about a reality in which Ukrainian children have to receive education. The first lady noted that students can be able to study offline in the frontline regions safely, schools are being built in shelters.

Elena Zelenskaya Foundation also equips shelter in schools and kindergartens across the country. Despite the war, school nutrition reform is ongoing, they introduce "happiness lessons" within the All -Ukrainian Mental Health Program "Are You How?"  “Although the right to education has long been declared, it is still necessary to fight for it in real life in many countries. Ukraine was faced with the need to physically protect education when a neighboring country attacked us.

We are parents, the state - we thought that we have no right to deprive children of normal life, ”said Elena Zelenskaya.   She also said that, according to the results of an international study, which was conducted to the fifth summit of the first ladies and gentlemen, a third of parents and children in 14 countries noted that they were not only known from school only from school. Instead, there is a need for life, communication and relationship skills.

Elena Zelenska called on the participants of the event to join the global campaign "Every generation leaves a mark. Education determines which ”initiated during the 5th summit of the first ladies and gentlemen. The president's wife also asked to show the video tutorials "Photos from Ukraine: Unspective Teen Stories" in schools. The videos tell the stories of Ukrainian students who study in war and dream of a happy future.
