To combat modified UAVs in Ukraine can disconnect mobile communications for ever...

"Running before": The military revealed new details about Shahd with a Ukrainian SIM card

To combat modified UAVs in Ukraine can disconnect mobile communications for every alarm, but this will cause collapse, so it takes another way, says military expert Sergey Beskrestnov (Flash). The experts tracked how and where the SIM card of the Ukrainian operator was flying recently in Ukraine. The details of this story in an interview with focus were told by a military specialist in communication and electronic intelligence Sergey Beskrestnov, known under the pseudonym "Flash".

According to him, Ukrainian servicemen have long predicted such a step from Russia, so the drone with the 4G-modem Alcatel inside was not a complete surprise. Technical experts tracked the movement of the SIM card and learned that it was purchased more than a year ago, it was in Russia for a long time and used with several mobile modems. "Shahd flew with a SIM card all Ukraine, flew to the central part, then turned and flew to the west where it was shot.

When we looked at other SIM cards, they found that the Russians still launched drones with such devices in Ukraine. They just did not happen to us, " - said Sergei Flash. The military added that Ukrainian engineers are already developing methods for combating a new threat.

If the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation starts to start such drones massively, there will be two options in Ukraine: either turn off the entire mobile network during each attack that will cause collapse, or come up with other ways to detect such SIM cards and modems on board Shahd. "Many people write their idea on the Internet: you just need to turn off all the phones that" move fast ". If everything was so simple," - said Sergei Beskrestnov.

Earlier, Focus wrote what is dangerous to ShahED with Ukrainian SIM cards. UAV developers and HRB asserts that technology is very simple, the cheapest modem or mobile phone is enough, but it is difficult to deal with it. Technically, SIM cards can be tracked, but it is almost unrealistic to do in real time and with high accuracy. At the same time, the Russians will be able to see where the drones move and where they are beaten to feel and bypass the air defense system.
