Scientists say that the quantum bond is very sensitive to fluctuations, temperature changes, so it is impossible to vouch for its reliability. However, during the tests, she allegedly demonstrated the possibilities of telephony, transmitting text documents. Video calls will soon be introduced.
The publication writes, referring to its own sources that the VIPNET Qss quantum telephone system can cost 40 million rubles. As for the network, it can spend hundreds of millions of rubles. Currently, at least 700 million rubles have been invested in the project. The development of quantum communication in Russia began in 2017. Today they use MSU and Infotex. Last year, they intended to build a quantum communication line "from St. Petersburg to Moscow", but so far the project was rolled up.
