The capital's Judge Trofimenko refused to comment on the purchase of a luxury during the war - the media

The Judge of the Economic Court of Kyiv Tamara Trofimenko, who in the midst of a full -scale war became the owner of a new Volvo for almost UAH 2. 5 million, refused to comment on the feasibility of this purchase and the origin of the wealth. She advised journalists to contact the pressecretic and left the meeting room, Ukrainian News reports, reports Apostrophe. Tamara Trofimenko, who works as a judge of the Capital State Court, purchased a new Volvo XC60 car for $ 64 thousand (UAH 2.

4 million) in July 2023. This is not the first foreign car in the judge's fleet: in 2020 it became the owner of Subaru Forestter for over one million hryvnias (about $ 38,000). In addition, in the declaration of the judge, journalists of the publication "StopCOR" found a number of real estate objects recorded on family members. The journalists tried to talk to the judge himself during one of the meetings and comment on her, but the attempt was in vain.

In particular, she was asked how appropriate it is in the midst of a full -scale war to buy a car for UAH 2. 5 million. She also asked her attitude towards the initiative to liquidate the Commercial Court. However, all the questions of Tamara Trofimenko left "without comments". The woman advised reporters to contact the press service, "gathered her things and literally fled from the courtroom to another room," the material reads.

In this case, Judge Trofimenko can become a subject of disciplinary process through actions that indicate a possible conflict of interest. "Yes, Ms. Tamara made a decision in favor of lawyer Pavel Chepunda, who was his trusted person - probably in violation of the judge's oath. According to these facts of the CCSSU, GRP and NAPC, they may initiate proceedings against Trofimenko," the journalists write.
