Siyarto added that he was talking to Russia's Deputy Minister of Energy Pavel Sorokin. According to the Hungarian official, Russian experts are working to restore the transformer station, but now they cannot name the timing of supply restoration.
The Minister has accused Kiev of attempting to involve Budapest into the war, saying that "Brussels and Ukraine have been trying to draw Hungary in conflict for over three years. " He stressed that the government of the country intends to stay away. At the same time, Siyarto reminded that Hungary plays an important role in providing Ukraine with electricity.
At the time of publication of official applications of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine regarding the stop of transportation of Russian oil after an attack on the transformer station of the pipeline leading to Hungary, it did not receive. According to Focus, Siyarto complained that the EU refuses to assist Hungary to solve the problem of transit of Lukoil oil through Ukraine.
