Russian karakurt drone became part of the Legionnaire's equipment: what does it mean

The developers argue that the drone is designed for air intelligence with the transmission of data in real time. And compact dimensions make it possible to run it "from hand". The Kalashnikov concern, the main provider of military equipment for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, announced the inclusion of the karakurt drone in the third generation legionnaire, which is developed as a multifunctional set for fighters. Currently, this drone is being tested in hostilities in Ukraine.

This was announced on September 17 by the press service of Rostech. The Karakurt mini-Dron is for air intelligence with real-time data. Its key features, as the manufacturer stated, is compactness and maneuverability, which allow you to run a drone in a limited space with the help of a transport and public container. This opportunity makes "Karakurt" especially useful in dense urban development or in areas where traditional methods of launching drones are impossible.

As noted by Army Recognition, in addition to real -time intelligence, "Karakurt" should have great flexibility during launching, as well as compatibility with available communication systems. Its role is to raise awareness of the battlefield, which allows military units to make decisions faster. In addition to the drone, the concern presented an individual first aid kit (APPI), which was also demonstrated at the Army-2024.

Such elements are aimed at increasing the survival and combat capability of military personnel in modern conditions. "There is little known about this UAV, but after receiving the results of the tests from Ukraine, the company can tell more about the possibilities of this new drone," - emphasized Western observers.
