The Armed Forces passed through the defense of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation: Russian invaders retreat in the south - NYT

The former Supreme Commander of the United NATO Armed Forces in Europe, Philip Brydlav, believes that the activity of defense forces in the Zaporozhye region will weaken the Russians. Last week, Ukraine held an active counter -offensive aimed at the cities of Zaporizhzhya region, including Melitopol and Berdyansk, located near the Azov Sea. During these operations, Ukrainian troops advanced a few kilometers forward, causing a significant blow to the Russian forces.

The New York Times wrote about it on August 2. According to American officials, the forces of Ukraine's defense intensified the counterattack, passing through Russian defense structures and weakening the enemy, which helped to move forward. Referring to the words of an anonymous Western official, the publication writes that at the same time Russian troops were stretched and faced with problems in logistics, supply, personnel and weapons.

The former Supreme Commander of the United NATO Armed Forces in Europe, retired by Philip Bridlaw also supported this opinion and expressed his hope that the counter -offensive of the Ukrainian troops would create a difficult situation for Russia. Perhaps Ukrainian activity will lead to additional difficulties for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and will help Ukraine regain control of lost territories.
