Odeshchya was attacked by drones: most of the targets were shot down, the debris caused fires

Share: At night, in the south of Ukraine, Russian troops again struck with drones in the Odesa region. Despite the successful work of the air defense forces, the debris of the downed drones damaged private houses and caused fires. Oleg Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration and the State Emergency Service reported about the new attack. According to Kiper, the defenders of the sky eliminated most of the enemy drones, but some of the debris fell on residential buildings.

As a result, the garage and the roofs of two private houses were destroyed. Firefighters promptly extinguished the fire. "The enemy again attacked the civilian population and civilian infrastructure of Odesa. Air defense forces destroyed most of the enemy's targets, but private homes were damaged by drone debris. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fires. Fortunately, information about the victims was not received," the head of the OVA said.

The State Emergency Service confirmed damage to residential buildings, a garage and a gas pipe. According to the service, the explosions caused local fires, which were extinguished without the fire spreading. Emergency services are working at the scene, damage assessment and restoration of damaged communications are ongoing. We will remind you that Russian troops regularly attack the southern regions of Ukraine with Shahed drones.

Air defense forces systematically shoot down most enemy drones, but the debris often causes destruction and ignition of civilian objects. We will remind, Focus wrote that at the end of October, the Russians attacked energy facilities and left the city in Odesa region without electricity. As reported by Focus, a former "regional", Ihor Markov from Odesa said on Russian television that Odesa "found itself under strict occupation" and a "concentration camp" was established there.
