To spread: Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced the creation of a "buffer zone" along the border of Russia and Ukraine. More than a year ago, he wanted to make a "sanitary area". Russian troops are doing this work, Putin said at a meeting with members of the government. "A decision was made to create the necessary buffer zone along the border. Our armed forces are now solving this task," he said.

According to the Russian head, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation allegedly actively suppress the firing points of the enemy. Putin also accused Ukraine of "attacks of drones on civilian objects". "Given the situation in the Kursk, Bryansk and Belgorod regions, it is necessary to start work with the restoration of everything destroyed," Putin added. The Russian president did not specify what was meant under the buffer zone and how it will be created.

It should be noted that during a speech at his election headquarters on March 17, 2024, Putin spoke about plans to create a "sanitary zone" in the territories of Ukraine. Meanwhile, the Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrsky declared the attempts of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to break through Ukrainian defense. According to him, the invaders suffered great losses in live strength and technology.
