During the 8 months of the "2025 campaign" (January-August), during their participation in the "strategic offensive", several Russian combined arms armies (ZVA) that operated and continue to operate at once as part of the operational-strategic groupings of the troops (UA) of the "United Grouping of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the South-Western TVD" (that is, the general strategic grouping of the enemy deployed on the territory of Ukraine), lost an average of a fully deployed motorized rifle division each (from 13 to 15–16, and in some cases even up to 17 thousand), this means killed, wounded and captured.
The undisputed "record holder" is the 5th ZVA of the enemy from the composition of the "Vostok" military unit, which is currently advancing in the Southern Donbas direction (16. 9 thousand killed, wounded and captured in 8 months this year alone). Its composition includes: Even the UA, which did not take a direct part in this "movement" (UA "Dnepr"), managed to lose up to 8,000.
