Television in Ukraine is a holy empty place

Video of the Day Ukraine is also unique here in its ability to break the templates and to deny the examples of constants and axioms. Our television is a striking example. Because it does not have content that would meet the needs of time. Real, not fictional channel management. To start talking about it on time, because from September traditionally starts a new television season.

It will not be on the channel of Ukraine and other channels of the Media Group of Rinat Akhmetov, because the media groups of Rinat Akhmetov no longer exist in nature. For various reasons, it ceased to exist. And at the end of August, a truly powerful ship finally went to the bottom, planting the last workers in the rescue boats. It would seem that a huge niche was released. Among the workers of the specialists of the Media Group Ukraine were successful cases, and they did not sin.

And specialists - return to the profession, give other areas for development. But no. No one occupies a place. And the reason is not in the war that stops in the development of everything you do not go for and where you do not look. Ukrainian television, as a manufacturer, was not suddenly subjective. Because at least so far, but I hope that, for all, Russia is not a customer of content, or an outlook, nor a provider of actors, guests of entertainment shows, vocal and dance reality, etc.

The scandal around the fourth season of a truly popular series serfs - though properly serf, but above it is stated that the name of the project and context was to be understood and bought in Russia - has every chance of being the last. It may and may not be dangerous for the life of the process participants for the Russian viewer. But for the nervous system of those who are accustomed to the positive information environment around their persons, it is uniquely destructive.

However, serfs showed unprotected flanks of the Ukrainian TV Front. An alternative to Latin America, Turkey, the United States, Europe by the proposal of entertainment content, especially dramatic series and televisions, at one time was Russia. I do not have a clear answer, why suddenly the Ukrainian viewer refused to benefit the Russian from everything else. More precisely, the question is not to the viewer, but to the management of leading channels and media groups.

After all, the proposal is formed at project meetings. Then they show the leadership of comforting figures: here we are specific to the Ukrainian Ukrainian -language product and grazing the rear, but the one that for Russia is ahead of the planet. I also do not know the exact date when the replacement was first and then-the monopolization of the Russian and pro-Russian product of the Ukrainian broadcast, especially in prime Time.

But there were opposite trends! Those who have found at least the 1980s, a familiar sense of the eager expectation of the next series of the Italian criminal series Presritr, Australian melodrama all the rivers flow, the German military-adventure action archive of death, British Gothic drama Jane Ayr. Not to mention Polish series like the history of four tankers and their dog - of course, with a pro -Soviet contextual firmware, but qualitatively made.

Children also remember the western series with animals - Kangaroo Skippi, Lassi's dog and a dolphin. And, more importantly, Soviet television, while ordering series, including - Ukrainian studios with indispensable involvement of Russian actors in all significant roles, still produced less hits. It was noticeable even in a time when the ratings were not measured. Foreign series were guaranteed to hold viewers near the screens. And most of them have not yet reproduced Soviet ideological insanity.

What was felt, especially - young viewers. The end of 1980-early 1990s is significant, without exaggeration, a narcotic effect, which the audience is Ukrainian-the rabbi of Isarur made, rich also crying, just Maria and Santa Barbara. Everything is named in Brazil, except for the last television. In the 1990s, the first Western series with Ukrainian dubs were distinguished in Ukraine-dynasty, green hectares and Alf.

In the same time, it was quite realistic to find Polish, German, English, and American detectives in the program of Ukrainian TV shows. Although they started their own production: Roksolana was closed, this product was different from Brazilian, except a more modest budget, but not with the sense and technologies of production. The watershed became 2000. Circulation or not, but that is then Putin came to Russia. Russian television has increased the production of its own product.

And without a battle, Ukrainian television space occupied. The brigade even won the game of thrones, although it came out for decades earlier. The ratings of Russian bandits were at one time higher than the indicators of the applicants for the iron throne. Absolute Western hits, owners of professional awards and pets of the so -called advanced public in Ukrainian essential realities lost the same type of Russian melodrams, a comedy like matchmakers and various men, deaf, FSB agents and ruble cops.

A similar product was created by Ukrainian TVs not even before the Revolution of Dignity, but literally until January 24, 2022. The serf worked at idle, by inertia, and therefore wrapped from conscious participants of the shooting process. However, the short excursion above is confirmed by the brief excursion to the audience of Ukrainians: not everything is so tragic. We, with some delay, were able to watch on TV what was tested by the Western viewer.

And Ukrainians could quite do without the specific Russian context. That is why now Ukrainian television is still a holy but empty place. Saint - because millions of Ukrainians really perceive the TV as something sacred. That is why for two decades, through the daily Russian series in Prime, the Russian world has rooted the roots here and weakened our worldview iron dome. Empty - because until there are no appropriate budgets, it is not easy to shoot series.
