Increase in Taxes in Ukraine: Who is exempted from payment of military levy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a law that exempts military personnel from paying for military fees. The Verkhovna Rada has recently approved a bill that envisages tax raising. According to the document, the military collection will increase from 1. 5% to 5%. This is stated in the article "24 Channel". In Ukraine, a number of citizens are exempted from payment of military fees.

In particular, in July 2022, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law according to which servicemen receive dismissal from this fee, namely: all other categories of citizens will not be released from the payment of military fees. In July, the People's Deputy and the chairman of the budget committee of Roksolana Podlas explained what size of the "hole" in the State Budget of Ukraine and why he appeared. According to her, UAH 500 billion is not enough.
