Showing of shells: Russian troops do not have about 500 thousand artillery shells - GUR

Major-General Vadim Skybitsky noted that the Russian MIC intends to increase the annual production of 122 mm and 152 mm, but this year the deficit will remain at the same level. The Russian military-industrial complex failed to cope with the scarcity of artillery ammunition.

As reported on January 11 by the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Major General Vadim Skibitsky, the defense industry of the Russian Federation is able to produce 2 million 122 mm and 152 mm ammunition per year, and the deficit is about half a million of shells.

The military commander noted that this year the Russian MIC is planning to increase the production of ammunition, but due to a number of problems, the deficit will remain at the same level. The reason for this is the lack of components, skilled personnel at enterprises and production facilities. "Our estimation - the Russian Federation will remain at the same level of 500,000 ammunition, and it will try to find them somewhere," Skibitsky emphasized.

According to him, the Ukrainian military is known to solve the problem with the lack of shells first with the help of Belarus and Iran. Later, large supply of artillery ammunition from North Korea went. Meanwhile, the routes that were supplied were known to Ukrainian intelligence. "We know what routes they were transported, at what warehouses they are stored and how they are taken to the front," the general added.
