The President held a telephone conversation with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. The head of state congratulated His Holiness on Christmas and thanked for the sincere greetings for Ukrainians, support for the protection of life and diplomatic efforts. Volodymyr Zelenskyi noted that even on Christmas Eve and Christmas night, the Russian army did not stop its brutal attacks on Ukraine, energy and Ukrainians. In many cities and villages there are blackout schedules.

The President emphasized: this afternoon, Russian troops are again attacking the cities of the Ukrainian East. In Chernihiv, in fact, during the conversation with His Holiness, they provided assistance to the injured as a result of a Russian drone hitting a residential building. "Unfortunately, we are dealing with barbarians who, after all, do not believe in God. This is what Russia has become, and it is not ashamed of it at all.
