On Monday, January 29, the head of the Avdiiv City Military-Civil Administration Vitaliy Barabash said on Channel 24. According to him, the Ukrainian soldiers were also neutralized by the enemy's sabotage and intelligence groups who tried to enter the city. However, Russian troops continue to try to return under the control of "Tsar Hunting". The complex situation is stored in the Avdeevsky direction, where fierce battles continue.

The Russian forces actively "press" on Ukrainian defenders, tightening reserves and carrying out permanent artillery shelling. Hostile attacks are carried out daily, while the activity of aircraft has decreased in the last few days. In general, according to the official, the situation in the Avdeevsky direction remains tense. The enemy continues to fire the city from artillery and mortars. In recent days, Russian troops have also started using aviation.

According to Barabash, 1014 people remain in Avdiivka in the morning of January 29. Despite the constant shelling and the lack of any communications, many residents of the city refuse to leave. "In my opinion, it is already on the verge of a moral crime. They sit, we must bring them humanitarian aid, we must persuade them in such conditions," - said the head of the Avdiivska MBA. At the same time, there are people who, after almost two years under fire, still decide to evacuate.

On Sunday, January 28, three people left Avdiivka, before - 22, a day earlier - 28 inhabitants. The evacuation of Avdiivka residents is complicated by constant shelling by Russian troops, Barabash emphasized.
