The Armed Forces was struck by the main ship repair plant of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation - ISW

Analysts say that the defense forces continue the campaign to destroy Russian military infrastructure in the occupied Crimea so that the invaders cannot use the peninsula as a bridgehead for operations in the south of Ukraine. The Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted successful attacks on the sea and port infrastructure at the Gulf Shipyard in the temporarily occupied Kerch on the evening of November 4. This was reported in the ISW report.

According to satellite images of November 4, the attack led to damage to the corvette of 22800 "Karakurt", which was on the shipyard. However, the degree of damage to the ship is currently unclear. The Gulf Shipyard planned to build 14 warships, including eight corvettes of 22800 "Karakurt", intended for the Black Sea Fleet from 2016 to 2021. According to ISW, at the time of 2023, only three Corvetts of the Project were launched from the Gulfa shipyard.

Temporarily occupied Crimea, especially after a successful attack from Ukraine at the Sevmorzavod Shipyard in Sevastopol on September 13, 2023. The extent of damage to the repair facilities at the Gulf Shipyard is unclear, although satellite images suggest that the blow is most likely not caused by damage that would violate its activities in the medium and long term.

According to ISW estimates, since June 2023, Ukrainian forces have been conducting a campaign for the destruction of Russian military infrastructure in the occupied Crimea, especially the Black Sea Federation, to weaken the ability of the Russian Armed Forces to use Crimea as a bridgehead and a rear for occupiers in the south of Ukraine. It is a shipbuilding plant "B. E. " Bomatov, which is a city -forming enterprise in Kerch and one of the largest shipbuilding enterprises in Eastern Europe.

Until 2014, the plant mainly built dry loads and balloons, fulfilled orders for drilling platforms and was engaged in ship repair. The plant is located on the shore of the Kerch Strait, between the Black and Azov Seas. The Russian was dissatisfied with the explosions in the occupied Crimea. In Sevastopol, an alarm was declared, the Crimean bridge was blocked, and the wreckage of rockets fell into the territory of one of the dry docks.
