Russian President Vladimir Putin became the main guest of the Chinese Infrastruc...

Putin tightened his belt. As a visit to Beijing pointed to Moscow's complete dependence

Russian President Vladimir Putin became the main guest of the Chinese Infrastructure Forum "One Belt, One Way". But despite the desire of the Russian politician to show its authority, it becomes more noticeable that the country is fully influenced by China. Focus learned what Putin and Xi Jinping agreed and what the consequences would have for Ukraine. The anniversary forum "One Belt, One Way" ended in Beijing.

For China, it is the largest diplomatic event of the year, which took place on October 17-18. Among the guests were leaders of the predominantly Asian-Pacific, Central Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Arab States of the Middle East. More than 130 countries have been invited to the anniversary forum.

According to information on the official resource, there were political leaders from Papua New Guinea, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, UAE, Thailand, Pakistan, Laos, Vietnam, Indonesia, Egypt, Egyptian, Ethiopia, Chile, Chile, Chile, Chile, Chile, Chile. The countries of Europe represented the Prime Minister of Hungary Victor Orban (he became the only representative of the EU) and Serbia President Alexander Vuchich.

Their presence is explained by the participation in the project "One Belt, One Way", namely the highway between the capitals of these countries. In particular, Hungary became the first and today the only country in Europe, the leadership of which has signed bilateral documents on participation in the project. It happened in 2015. It is worth noting that the Russian Federation cooperates with China in the initiative "One Belt, One Way", but is not his direct participant.

"One Belt, One Way" is a Chinese global infrastructure initiative, which was first announced by Xi Jinping in 2013 in Astana (Kazakhstan). The topic of the project is the development of global infrastructure and transport from China to Central Europe. The initiative is even included in the Constitution of China, and political leadership considers it an attempt to improve regional relations and relations.

According to various estimates, in ten years of existence, the project has invested about one trillion of US dollars. "One Belt, One Way" should be a modern analogue of the Great Silk Road. At the same time, China's plans are perceived with skepticism and criticized through the creation of a so -called "debt trap" or "debt diplomacy". The very idea is called the way in neocolonity. For many statements and estimates made during the forum, it is worth highlighting two main ones.

First, Xi Jinping warned the Western world on separation, reduction of dependence on the Chinese economy, imposing unilateral sanctions. At the same time, he did not name any country. "We oppose unilateral sanctions, economic coercion, separation and breakdown of supply chains <…> Our life will not be better and our development will not be faster if we consider the development of others as a threat, and economic interdependence - as a risk," - quotes the words of Chinese. Reuters leader.

Recall that the decrease in dependence on China's supply has become a key priority for the EU after interruption in trade during the coronavirus pandemic and as a reaction to Beijing's threats against Taiwan hostilities. Secondly, these were in addition to the guarantees of sovereignty and security for the Russian Federation and emphasized that mutual political trust between the two countries continues to deepen, and strategic coordination is close and effective.

Over the last ten years, Xi has met with Putin more than 40 times. According to analysts, the anniversary forum "One Belt, One Way" has become another certification of the division of the world into bipolar, where the main roles play the US and China. Russia has long lost the status of a world player and has fallen under the economic and further political influence of Beijing.

It is now incorrect to say that China with Russia is forming an alliance, since the Kremlin has long been part of this geopolitical formation of Chinese politicians. Therefore, it is about the distribution of world players between two poles - American and Chinese. Diplomat Ruslan Osipenko notes that "one belt, one way" has long been an informal alliance of countries against the US and the EU. Now the US and China are fighting for major countries that have not joined them.

For example, Brazil, South Africa and India. "It became clear that when a bipolar world was made at the G20 summit, and China took the place of the same second country in the world. There is a juxtaposition here: from China - allegedly joined economic relations and investments, and from the USA to the development of democracy and rights a person. If there are more countries on your side, you will be able to pursue your policy on different geopolitical sites, "he says focus.

The director of the Institute of World Policy Eugene Magda says that according to the results of the forum, we can conclude that China continues to seek economic dominance in the world and tries to support this desire in various ways. "China will continue to prove that he is a partner, not an aggressor. It is for this to be well suited to Russia, because Putin on dancing in SI well shades it," he explains Focus.

According to Magda, it is too early to talk about some union or alliance of China with Russia. This requires some actions, not political statements. If we see Chinese weapons or ammunition at the front in Ukraine, then we can talk about it. He also notes the absence of an attempt to dialogue with EU countries, which indicates the presence of only one orban in the West. "Victor Orban is a tool of Beijing and Moscow, but more Moscow, because Russia has been proxy for some time.

Orban is an old Soviet agent in Europe, its main task is to sow discord in the EU, to get a deterioration of relations with the US . According to international expert Natalie Plaksienko-Buvutskaya, this forum is an opportunity for China to make some results and try to get rid of the plume of accusations of "debt diplomacy", to provide a project with a new momentum. We have heard that the focus is on the development of technology, artificial intelligence, e -commerce and green energy.

"Putin was the most important guest, and Russian propaganda sought symbolism in every action in Beijing. But it is difficult to hide that the Kremlin is dependent on China in the issue Energy. Also, the Russian Federation has not taken place in the project, Putin stated that he would cooperate within the EEAC, HOS and Brix. The main intrigue remained a bilateral meeting with Putin, which lasted for more than two and a half hours and ended deep at night.

The politicians also talked for a long time in March 2023, when Xi visited Moscow. Plaksienko-Buohutsk assumes that this time they could speak on the end of the war in Ukraine and the supply of Chinese weapons for the Russian Federation. "Today SI is one of the few who have a real influence on Putin. He openly stated that he would support the sovereignty and security of the Russian Federation. This is the so -called Chinese peace plan. That is, preserving the interests Ukraine will not join NATO.

China tries to keep Putin's face and protect Russia from the complete collapse. Therefore, in my opinion, China will not become an assistant for Ukraine. It is likely that it will be some compromise, "the expert says. As for weapons, China is unprofitable to glow in this topic. This will immediately affect the negotiations with the US and economic relations with the EU.
