Bulgarian Military Viewers have told about what problems the Russians could face. The material states that Baykar Makina's head Haluk Baracar, in an interview with Radio Liberty, stated that Turkish UAVs were actively used on the battlefield. "Our drones are actively used in the battlefield, and we try to maintain the technical characteristics of our systems," Baracar explained. At the same time, promising AKINCI drones are different from already known TB2.
One of the main differences is their size and load capacity. Bayraktar TB2 is a smaller drone with a maximum runway about 650 kg and AKINCI is a larger drone with a maximum runway about 4500 kg. According to experts, Akinci is designed as a more versatile and perfect drone that is able to perform a wider range of tasks, including radio electronic struggle, radio reconnaissance and air-air combat.
Promising UAVs have a more advanced set of sensors, including a radar with a larger area synthesized, electronic support and radio electronic facilities. As for combat use, experts noted that during the tests of the Akinci drone managed to hit the target at a distance of 140 km, after which he successfully landed on the takeoff point. The drone successfully carried out the test launch of the supersonic managed missile of the Air-Earth class TRG-230-IHA.
