"King-Kopter" from Fab-250: The Russian Federation presented a drone "Butterfly", equipped with airbots (photo)

Given the stated capacity of the drone, it can theoretically carry four Fab-50 aircraft, which indicates the possibility of carrying out a full bombing. During the exhibition "Army-2024" in Russia, a new heavy drone "Butterfly" was presented, capable of carrying 250-pounds of Fab-250 aviation bombs. The corresponding photos and characteristics were published by the Russian media.

The butterfly is reported that factory tests are underway to confirm the reliability of the design and the stated characteristics. It was assembled at one of the Zelenograd County factories and became the first Russian heavy -class drone operating on powerful asynchronous engines. Their declared maximum capacity is 60 kW, and the total mass of the copter is about 25 kg.

It is thanks to the powerful engines that the copter can lift more than 200 kg of amounts and throw it from a height of about 100 meters. Russian observers say that in view of the stated load capacity of the copter, he can theoretically carry, for example, four aviation bombs Fab-50, which is already threatened by a full bombing of the enemy's positions. UAV consists of both Russian components and foreign components, including batteries and controller.

The developers claim that in addition to aviation bombs, the drone can be used to discharge other means of damage that are suitable for its onboard mounts and within the permitted mass -sized characteristics. Butterfly can also be installed with electronic wrestling or optical reconnaissance systems. If the trials are successfully completed, the new UAV can be adopted by the Russian army, and its production will be deployed at the Sowelmash Moscow region.
