Russia is again ready for negotiations with Ukraine: the Kremlin named the condition

Share: Russia's Chargé d'affaires in Turkey Oleksiy Ivanov said that Russia is ready for Istanbul talks with the Ukrainian side "at any time". According to Ivanov, Russia is ready for negotiations "at any moment" and Turkey is ready to provide a platform, but there is allegedly no reaction from official Kyiv. The temporary charge d'affaires of Russia in Turkey told TASS about this.

"The Russian side has repeatedly emphasized that we are ready to continue direct negotiations with the Ukrainian side, with the Ukrainian delegation. And our Turkish partners also consistently emphasize that the Istanbul site remains at our disposal, this door remains open for us," he said on the sidelines of the XVI Asian Conference of the Valdai International Discussion Club, organized in Istanbul in partnership with the Ankara Institute.

"If the political will is revealed on the part of Kyiv, we are ready for such negotiations at any moment," the diplomat added. Ivanov claims that the Russian side during the previous rounds of negotiations conveyed its number of proposals. "A whole series of initiatives were announced, in particular regarding the creation of three working groups online. Unfortunately, we have not yet received a positive reaction to these initiatives from the Ukrainian side," he added.
