The President took part in the first burial ceremony of warriors in the National Military Memorial Cemetery

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky took part in the first burial ceremony of Ukrainian soldiers at the National Military Memorial Cemetery, located in the Kyiv region. The head of state heard the report of the spokesman of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs Gennady Popenko. The honorary burial sectors have already been built in the cemetery, two Columbarias were erected, engineering networks and an expensive road were laid. Visitors provided a parking lot and shuttle, which will run regularly.

It was him that the president came today. A special place in the territory is given to burial soldiers whose names are not yet known. They also create a lime alley - a symbolic road of memory. The peculiarity of the memorial is unified burials. Initially, a temporary cross will be installed here based on the Cossack monuments of the XV - XVI centuries, and a year later - a permanent tombstone in the form of a cross or a sign. The final version will be selected by the relatives of the deceased.
