Destruction of the Second A-50: How many such aircraft still remained in Russia-Ignat (video)

According to the spokesman of the PSU of the Armed Forces Yuri Ignat, the A-50U plane, which was shot down during a joint operation of intelligence and air forces, was not a regular, but a modernized version of the air command point. In the sky above the Azov Sea, on February 23, the second Russian aircraft of the long-range radar detection of A-50U was destroyed. A spokesman for the Air Force of the Armed Forces Yuri Ignat told this on the air of the only news.

He reported that the whipped aircraft was upgraded - he was able to observe and scan, see all the air targets within 600 kilometers and detect the HND systems. "That is, it was actually a radar," Ignati emphasized. He added that, according to the head of the GUR Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kiril Budanov, there are 8 more aircraft in Russia. "You need to look at the intelligence data. The head of the GUR was said that there were eight aircraft before.

Of them, not all workers, not all were upgraded. Therefore, there were them on the fingers of one hand . . . ", - explained the PS spokesman. Ignat noted that he supports the opinion of the head of GUR that such aircraft destruction will probably affect Russia's ability to conduct round -the -clock operational activity and keep in touch in the war zone around the clock.

"The successes that are today, this distant hand, the opportunity to get the enemy where he does not expect it absolutely, says that the enemy will have less capabilities in this direction, losing A-50," he said. According to GUR, the air command point used for strikes in Ukrainian cities was shot down during a joint operation of intelligence and air forces.

The last flight of the Russian aircraft, which was destroyed on February 23, 2024, made from the Akhtubinsk airfield the same day at 15:50, setting up for the task of the Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Grain. The Russian aircraft A-50U managed to catch almost 300 km from the front line. Ukraine has shot down the Russian A-50U missiles SPRC C-200. Later it became known that in the Russian Federation the fragments of the whipped A-50U were found. The cost of A-50 is over $ 350 million.
