Combined Europe for the first time since 1945: Latvia Prime Minister called Putin's main mistake

According to the politician, the main condition for security guarantees for Europe will be Ukraine's accession to NATO, which will not allow Russia to continue to repeat aggression. Latvia Prime Minister Krishyanis Karinsh believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin has achieved his most cohesive association instead of intimidating Ukraine instead of intimidation of European countries.

He stated this on Wednesday, June 7, speaking at the Riga Stratcom Dialogue 2023 conference, dedicated to international strategic communication, reports Delfi. lv. According to Karynish, Russian President Vladimir Putin has been able to unite Europe for the first time since 1945 after Russian troops began a full -scale invasion of Ukraine.

He noted that Ukraine's accession to NATO is the only opportunity to keep peace in Europe in the long run, since otherwise Russian aggression will continue sooner or later and will never be peace. "The event is not a geographical unit, but a unit based on values, and the leader of the Russian regime, Vladimir Putin, did a good job of combining Europe for the first time after 1945," the politician emphasized.

The Prime Minister stated that as long as the event is only talking about values, the people of Ukraine are fighting and dying for freedom, democracy and these values. He added that the people of Latvia are ready to assist Ukraine for its victory in confrontation with the Russian Federation. "Some people perceive democracy and freedom for granted, saying that it has always been. The fact is that it has never been, and we have to protect it," he summed up.

We will remind, in mid -May President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky summed up his official visits to the countries of Europe. The result of the President's trip to a number of European countries has become more weapons and political support for Ukraine. In early May, it became known that Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Finland and Sweden confirmed that Ukraine support Ukraine's accession to the European Union and NATO.
