To spread: On the eve of the celebration on May 9, new variants of KAMAZ-6350 were noticed in Moscow, carrying starting installations of different types of drones. These machines have increased protection and demonstrate a tendency to increase the survivability of logistics technology in the Russian army.

The Polish Defense24 Observer Adam Sverkovsky writes that the reservation of KAMAZ cars, thanks to the installation of the K-5350 cab, began in 2023 in response to high losses of trucks and crews during hostilities in Ukraine. In the face of active use of artillery, the Russian army was confronted with the need for urgent modernization of its vehicles, which originally manifested in impromptu solutions - from steel sheets to wooden structures.

And from the fall of 2023 new versions of armored cabin began: the headlights were moved down, the air intakes are located on the sides, and the monolithic windshield is divided into two sections. The side glasses are now installed in the reinforced frames, giving the cabin a different shape. Moreover, the reservation is made in a modular way, which allows to adapt protection to various tasks.

In addition to KAMAZ, an image of a modernized Urals-4320 tanker with a wheel formula 6 × 6 appeared on the network. The machine received an armored cab and protection of the engine. The windows are covered with armored with narrow inspection cracks, additionally tank, and a massive armor is installed above the cabin.

Swerkovsky notes that such initiatives indicate that Russia takes into account combat experience in Ukraine, accelerating the production of protected vehicles to increase the survival of personnel. The technical characteristics of KAMAZ-6350 Recall that at the end of March it became known that the Armed Forces of Ukraine used specialized Polish trucks Jelcz P882D53 for ammunition.
