EU ministers have agreed to impose new sanctions against Russia and increase weapons supply to Ukraine - Reuters

EU foreign ministers have agreed to prepare new sanctions against the Russian Federation and increase the supply of weapons to Ukraine. Russia's recent statements "testify to panic and despair. " This was stated by the EU Supreme Representative Josep Borrel, Reuters writes. "It is obvious that Putin is trying to destroy Ukraine," Borrel said.

After a briefing of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba, the ministers agreed to instruct their teams to prepare an eighth package of sanctions, which will be aimed at "more relevant sectors of the Russian economy and will continue to aim at the persons responsible for the aggressive war in Ukraine," Borsel said. Video Day Ministers will hold the next official meeting in mid -October, when the sanctions package can be officially executed.
