Developed by the Southern Design Bureau and produced at the Pujmashi capacities in the Dnieper, it is the result of a revived national missile program. According to experts, the rocket is equipped with a warlord weighing up to 400 kg - which is more than five times higher than the useful load of some Western counterparts. And the maximum flight range reaches 300 km depending on the configuration.
The rocket is based on a mobile platform, providing high maneuverability and secrecy of the complex, which makes it particularly effective for strikes at the critical objects of the enemy - team points, logistics centers, ammunition depots. Western experts emphasize that unlike foreign systems, such as ATCMS and Storm Shadow, Grim-2 is not limited to political nuances for use. This means that Ukraine can apply it for goals outside its territory without additional permits.
In addition, heavier warhead and high accuracy make it a formidable strategic restraint tool, which can be compared to the power with Russian "Iskander" and North Korean KN-23, but with the advantage that it is produced in the Ukrainian territory. As for production, it is likely that Ukraine is able to produce 40-50 missiles per month, which indicates full-fledged domestic production of long-range weapons.
