Threatened with "nucleus": what are the dangerous intercontinental missiles "Sarmat" of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation

The Russian authorities assured that in the arsenal of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation can be 50 missiles "Sarmat", each of which is capable of carrying up to 15 nuclear warheads. Several tests of Sarmat nuclear warheads, capable of flying across the ocean, took place in the Russian Federation. One of the launches took place just when US President Joe Biden was in Kiev on February 20, 2023.

The special RC-28 "Sarmat" missile in the context of new nuclear threats, on February 29, voiced by Russian President Vladimir Putin, was explained on the Facts Portal. The portal told the history of the creation of the latest Russian intercontinental ballistic missile, which has already entered the arsenal of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. This rocket's refinement was intensified in 2014.

The Russians had unsuccessful launchers, but in 2017 the Kremlin declared the first successful trials. Another successful launch took place on May 22, 2022, during an invasion of Ukraine. Roscosmos then Dmitry Rogozin said that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will receive 50 Sarmat missiles soon. It is unknown how long it takes to make warheads. However, the TASS agency in the summer of 2022 reported that in August Russian enterprises received appropriate state order.

Sarmat PC-28 is an intercontinental ballistic missile that runs from mobile launches, the authors of the portal said. According to Roszma's statements, it has equipment that avoids the impact of the air defense forces. The cost of the rocket is unknown. Sarmat specifications: The portal also noted that the Russians consider Sarmat the most powerful weapon that can move the nuclear charge through the North or South Pole.

Among its advantages is not the number of warheads, but the fact that they will be delivered closer to the target in the trajectory, which will allow to avoid aircraft. It should be noted that after the invasion of Ukraine regularly mentions the presence of nuclear weapons and its intention to apply it in the event of a certain course of war.

Russian expansion Dmitry Medvedev has repeatedly threatened that the nuclear bomb would be thrown into Ukraine, the Baltic countries, the countries of Western Europe or the US. The Russian propagandists said this: for example, Dmitry Kiselev in 2014, before the start of a full -scale invasion, said "nuclear ash", into which the Russian Federation could turn the world.

One of the latest trials of Sarmat missile took place on Joe Baiden's visit to Ukraine on the first anniversary of the Russian Federation. According to the intelligence service, the Russians warned about the start, which probably did not happen quite well. We remind that on February 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin appealed to the Russians, speaking at a federal meeting.
