The Armed Forces garrison was kept in the city for maximum depletion of Russian units and control over the large railway line, which connects Donetsk with Mariupol, Crimea, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions. The plans of Russia by 2025 - an attempt to occupy Kurakhov and resolve the issue with the Pokrovsky direction. But there are other tasks: completing the operation in the area of ​​Toretskaya agglomeration and taking a time ravine to open several ways of the offensive to Konstantinovka, Alexander Kovalenko is convinced.
