"Crazy Chaika" against the Russians: What a new drone for GUR and Armed Forces is capable of (video)

Due to the wide opportunities, the drone can be used in different situations, both to perform combat missions and to help civilians. The founder of the organization "Unified Center for Development of Ukraine" Arsen Gavrilets invented and embodied the model of a multifunctional drone "Seagull". The developer told "Channel 24" journalists.

Before reporting the details of the drone, Arsen Gavrilets shared the story of his decision to help Ukraine after a full -scale invasion of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022. He became a member of the volunteer formation of the territorial community and began to actively engage in volunteering.

Representatives of the Armed Forces asked the Gavrilets to help coordinate the creation of unmanned aerial vehicles, and he assembled a team from his friends, including IT professionals. They began to develop and improve the model of drones, the prototypes of which were created in May. At this stage, the team concluded that the market needs a simple and convenient product that will meet the needs of the army.

The name of the Ukrainian Crazy Animals has chosen the creators of the UAV to differ from existing organizations and attract finances from abroad. It is interesting that the drones of this series were named after extinct species that lived in Ukraine, for example, the drone "Seagull" was named in honor of the extinct species "Stepov's Seagull". "Seagull" (full name from the developer - "Crazy Seagull III" or "Crazy Seagull III") is a drone from the series "Ukrainian Crazy Animals".

Designed to perform combat tasks for the defeat of living force and armored vehicles of the enemy from the air in simple meteorological conditions. The technical characteristics of the UAV "Seagull" may vary depending on the needs of the Armed Forces or GUR. It is able to tolerate a useful weight of up to 1. 3 kg and stay in the air for about 8 minutes at a cruising speed of 1 km/min.

"Seagull" is used at short distances, but it is possible to increase the weight of the cargo and the battery to achieve more range. The customer receives together with a 7-inch finished for use by quadcopter also a remote control, antenna for the control panel and VR glasses. This set costs an average of 16. 8 thousand UAH. The developers priority ensure the safety of drone operators, including remote antennas and remote control.

They also work on the signal transfer to additional equipment, which will allow the operator to be at a safe distance from the drone. A few days earlier, we wrote that the Ukrainians developed the Ratel S. Battle Drones. Ratel S is a new modification of the previous version of the drone Ratel ("Medoid" from English) - they differ in maximum speed and working distance. Both models were developed by the team of Ukrainian enterprise Stolb. com. ua, headed by director Taras Ostapchuk.
