Restoration of energy and strengthening of air defense: Volodymyr Zelenskyi met with George Maloney

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi met with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Italy Giorgia Meloni. The leaders focused on the challenges facing Ukraine's energy sector due to constant Russian attacks. Italy has the relevant expertise and the necessary energy equipment.

The President noted that additional support is needed to strengthen the energy stability of our country, as well as to strengthen the protection of critical infrastructure with modern air defense systems and other means. The head of state emphasized that Ukraine is interested in participating in joint defense projects with EU member states within the framework of the SAFE program. Relevant consultations are ongoing.
